A Reflection - GreenLogic after 13 years
When we started GreenLogic in 2005, we had three main goals:
To make the world a better place by fighting climate change while at the same time helping our customers save money
To become a company dedicated to top notch quality and customer service.
To create meaningful and satisfying work for ourselves and all our employees.
After 13 years, how do we measure against our original goals?
Since our inception, we have installed more than 2,250 residential, commercial and municipal systems totaling 24.5 MW of solar electric systems all over Long Island and the Tri-State area. This is the equivalent of planting 10,800 acres of trees and a savings of almost half a billion dollars to our clients over the lifetime of these systems. Needless to say we are very pleased with these results.
What is equally gratifying to us is that we have thousands of happy and satisfied clients out there. These loyal clients are a direct result of not only the savings we have helped them achieve, but also because we have always strived to provide our clients with the highest quality of equipment, workmanship and service. As a result of our dedication to quality, we derive the majority of our new business from the personal referrals of our existing clients.
None of this would have been possible had we not been able to attract and employ some of the most intelligent, motivated and dedicated staff in the industry. Many of our employees have been with us from the beginning and have started from entry level jobs and advanced to managerial positions. It is with great pride and tremendous satisfaction that we can say our employees continue to enjoy and thrive in their jobs within the special culture we have created at GreenLogic.
Looking back over the past 13-years, it could be said that we are achieving the original goals we had set back in 2005. It’s very sad to note that climate-change is still ravaging our planet with no end in sight. Unless the leaders of the world take a more aggressive collective action, we along with many other like-minded companies and individuals, might unfortunately not be able to save the planet despite our best efforts. In the meantime, we will keep doing what we are doing as it’s the only we can do!
